Use this list after the dimensions are known and before accepting a supplier quote. A checked item should mean it was measured or confirmed, not assumed.
On the supplier’s paper
- The ordered unit is cubic yards or cubic meters, matching the calculator, not a bag count unless you are buying bags.
- Waste was not added again on top of an order quantity that already includes your allowance.
- The billed increment matches the rounding you used, such as 0.25 yd³.
- The short-load threshold is written in cubic yards, not assumed from the 10 yd³ planning default.
- Included unloading time, the mix specification, and tax treatment are on the quote. ConcreteQty does not choose the mix.
Quantity
- Final concrete dimensions rechecked
- Different shapes or thicknesses entered as separate sections
- Openings or post displacement entered only where applicable
- Waste allowance chosen deliberately
- Supplier minimum and rounding increment confirmed
Quote
- Same order quantity used for every comparison
- Price per cubic yard or cubic meter
- Delivery and short-load fees
- Pump, waiting, fuel, environmental, and tax items
- Minimum order, payment, cancellation, and rescheduling terms
Site readiness
- Address, route, and truck access confirmed
- Forms, base, reinforcement, and placement area ready
- Placement method, crew, tools, and cleanup plan ready
- Weather and arrival window checked
- Included unloading time understood
Final confirmation
- Ordered quantity repeated back in the supplier’s unit
- Mix specification confirmed by the responsible project professional
- Delivery date or window and contact number written down
- Fees and tax treatment shown in the written quote
Save or print the calculation with the assumptions visible. If a measurement, supplier increment, or fee changes, update the estimate instead of editing only the final number.
Run these numbers in the concrete calculator. The cited sources are the yields and ordering references behind the count.
